Computers
The students will practice safe and ethical use of computers as educational tools. They will be able to orally communicate using developmentally appropriate technological terminology. The students will become proficient in keyboarding skills, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheet applications, word processing and publishing. Students will be able to safely surf the World Wide Web in order to acquire information for research purposes. These skills will benefit the students in many content areas throughout the educational process enabling them to become lifelong learners.
Developmental considerations and beliefs about teaching and learning are taken into account in program planning and teaching methodologies in a wide variety of ways. The students are grouped by grade level, and then sectioned according to ability as needed. Within the classroom, the teacher addresses the individual learning needs using various modalities, in order to engage the whole child.
